ABSENCES

The places we live in retain our essence and us, theirs.

Gaston Bachelard wrote The Poetics of Space, referring to this close relationship between the place and the experience.

I have found photographs of my life and of others to which I feel closely attached. Through them, I have left out people than once talked, thought, laughed in those places, chairs, offices, dining rooms… trying to show the footprint we leave through the ages.

All in all, we could say I have tried to summarise the absence through lived empty spaces, linking time and the physical and temporal spaces.
